Hi. I'm Lynnette and I'm so glad you're visiting Growing through Affliction. I was doing a radio interview one morning and I was caught off guard when I referred to myself as a "professional griever". What is a professional griever anyway? As I reflected on this later I realized that the point I was trying to make was that I'd been there/done that, not once, not twice, but three times and I knew I had the ability to help others through their sorrow. So, while I referred to myself as a "professional griever", a more accurate label might be an "experienced griever" who wants to help others through their painful loss.

I'm the wife of one wonderful, God fearing husband and the mother of 9 precious children - 6 living here and 3 living with Jesus. While I'm usually a behind-the-scenes person, I love touching people's lives with hope. I'm very easily inspired and love to share with others what God has taught me through my dark days as well as what he is continuing to teach me.

I love listening to beautiful orchestral music. I jump at the opportunity to steal a nap outdoors. I'm fascinated and thrilled by wildlife. I enjoy capturing memories through journaling and photography, and I enjoy taking time for things like, coffee, good chats and games with my children.

I keep a blog of my daily life and would love to share it with you too. So, come on over for a visit!
